Overview

Corennys

*Corennys* Bates, 1884 is a small but attractive genus of longhorn beetles native to East Asia, with adults measuring 8–14 mm and displaying variable, often bright coloration. The beetles are conspicuous flower visitors, frequently encountered on Apiaceae and Rosaceae blossoms at forest margins and woodland edges from late spring through summer. Larvae develop slowly in decaying broadleaf wood, with a larval period spanning two to four years. The genus is diurnal and strong-flying, appearing at elevations from sea level to 1500 m.
