Data sources & methodology

Primary sources

Distribution and taxonomic data follows Danilevsky (2023) Catalogue of Palaearctic Cerambycidae, supplemented by Löbl & Löbl (2016) Catalogue of Palaearctic Coleoptera vol. 8. Species-level data uses cerambycidae.net as the primary online reference.

Matrix version

This site was generated from CER_WEB matrix version v10.4.48, built 2026-06-10. The matrix contains 296 genera, 1,416 W. Palearctic species entries, distributed across 11 subfamilies and 69 tribes.

Ecological data

Host plant data is compiled from primary literature (Linsley 1959–1973, Sama 2002, Adlbauer references). EPPO status follows the current EPPO Global Database. EU Habitats Directive status follows Annex II and IV of Council Directive 92/43/EEC.

Zero hallucination policy

All genus entries follow a P10 Zero Hallucination protocol: empty fields are preferred over uncertain data. All data passes a P18 peer-review gate before publication.
