Overview
Kirgizobia
*Kirgizobia* Danilevsky, 1988 is a monotypic longhorn beetle genus endemic to the mountain ranges of Kyrgyzstan, where adults inhabit forest edges and clearings between 1000 and 3000 m altitude. Slender and often brightly coloured, adults are diurnal and regularly found visiting flowers, particularly of the families Apiaceae and Rosaceae. Larvae develop in decaying wood over two to four years, making this genus a characteristic inhabitant of montane woodland habitats in Central Asia.
