Overview
Osphranteria
*Osphranteria* Redtenbacher, 1850 is a genus of medium to large longhorn beetles (18–35 mm) with a characteristic musk scent reminiscent of *Aromia*. The adults are associated with riparian and floodplain forests, where larvae develop in the wood of willows, poplars, and oleasters. *O. coerulescens* is recorded as a significant pest of *Elaeagnus* in Central Asia. Adults are active from May to August and are attracted to freshly dead wood and UV light.
