Overview

Rondibilis

*Rondibilis* Thomson, 1864 is a small, robust lamiinae beetle, 4–8 mm in length, found across East Asia including Japan and China. Adults are characteristically clothed in dense, cryptic pubescence, rendering them well camouflaged against bark surfaces of their oak hosts. The genus is associated exclusively with *Quercus* (Fagaceae), where larvae develop subcortically and into the wood over one to three years. Adults are active by day from May through August, typically encountered on host stems or beneath bark at lower elevations up to 1000 m.
