*Strangalia* Audinet-Serville, 1835 is a genus of slender, tapered longhorn beetles in the subfamily Lepturinae, recognised by the elongate body adorned with transverse pale fasciae that give rise to the common name "Banded Longhorn." Adults are conspicuous diurnal flower visitors, frequenting blooms of Apiaceae and Rosaceae along forest margins from June to August. Larvae develop over two to three years in the decaying sapwood of dead and dying deciduous trees, including *Carpinus*, *Fagus*, and *Quercus*, pupating in shallow chambers just beneath the wood surface.
