Overview

Zoodes

*Zoodes* Pascoe, 1867 is a medium-sized longhorn genus (10–20 mm) of primarily Oriental distribution, reaching the western Palaearctic only marginally. Its species develop in dead or dying wood of Acacia and Prosopis, beginning beneath the bark before tunnelling deeper into the sapwood. Adults are active from May to August, attracted to freshly cut or dying host timber, and may be observed by UV light at night. The genus shows notably variable coloration across its species.
