Overview
Conizonia
*Conizonia* Fairmaire, 1864 is a small Mediterranean longhorn genus of five Palaearctic species, three of which occur in Europe. These compact, cylindrical beetles rarely exceed 10 mm and are clothed in dense, cryptic pubescence that often incorporates pale elytral vittae, rendering them remarkably inconspicuous against bark and woody stems. Adults are diurnal to crepuscular and can be found from May through August on or beneath the bark of host shrubs, principally *Quercus* and *Ficus*, across the western Mediterranean basin and North Africa up to about 800 m elevation.
