Overview

Conizonioides

*Conizonioides* Sama, 1996 is a small, robust longhorn beetle of the western Mediterranean, measuring 6–10 mm and clothed in dense, cryptic pubescence that blends seamlessly with bark and plant surfaces. The single species inhabits shrublands and open woodland edges in southern Spain and North Africa, from sea level to around 600 m. Adults are diurnal to crepuscular and active from May to August, found on or beneath the bark of their host plants. Larvae bore into dead or dying stems, completing development over one to three years depending on conditions.
