Hypoeschrus

*Hypoeschrus* Heyden, 1863 is a small, monotypic Levantine genus of longhorn beetles, reaching 5–12 mm in length and associated exclusively with *Quercus* in the eastern Mediterranean region. Adults are found on dead and dying wood or beneath bark, particularly between May and August at elevations up to 800 m. The genus is poorly known and considered uncommon throughout its restricted range in Turkey, Lebanon, and Syria.
