Overview
Lamiomimus
*Lamiomimus* Breuning, 1950 is a robust, medium-sized longhorn beetle of the subfamily Lamiinae, reaching 20–35 mm in length. Its dense, cryptic pubescence provides effective camouflage against the bark of its host trees in the riparian and floodplain forests of Central Asia. Adults are associated with *Populus* and *Salix*, flying from May to August in the steppe and lowland zones of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, typically below 800 m altitude. The genus is monotypic, making it a taxonomically isolated lineage within its tribe.
