Leptura

*Leptura* Linnaeus, 1758 is a medium-sized longhorn genus (10–25 mm) of the family Cerambycidae, subfamily Lepturinae, with 15 species across the West Palaearctic and 3 in Europe. Adults are conspicuous, diurnal flower visitors, regularly encountered on umbellifer blossoms — particularly *Heracleum* and *Aegopodium* — in and around mature broadleaf woodland from June to August. Larvae develop over two to three years in the dead and decaying wood of deciduous trees, with a marked preference in Central Europe for large-diameter standing or fallen beech timber of considerable girth; Sláma's observations in Slovakia and the Carpathian Ukraine found development confined almost exclusively to *Fag…
