Mallosia

*Mallosia* Mulsant, 1862 is a medium-sized longhorn beetle (8–20 mm) of the subfamily Lamiinae, recognised by its robust, cylindrical body clothed in dense golden-yellow pubescence arranged in pale vittae. The genus is centred on the Balkans, Turkey, and the Caucasus, with many species restricted as Anatolian or Caucasian endemics, and reaches altitudes up to 2500 m. Adults are encountered on herbaceous plants in meadows and steppe from May to July, while larvae develop in the roots of Apiaceae and Asteraceae.
