Morimonella
Morimonella
*Morimonella* Breuning, 1948 is a small, robust longhorn beetle of the subfamily Lamiinae, reaching 8–12 mm in length and notable for its dense, cryptic pubescence that renders it remarkably well camouflaged against bark. The genus is entirely flightless, lacking functional hindwings, and is restricted to Turkey and the Caucasus region at elevations between 200 and 1500 m. Adults are active from May to August and are most readily encountered on or beneath the bark of their host trees, principally oaks. The genus is monotypic, making it a biogeographically distinctive element of the eastern Mediterranean and Caucasian fauna.
