Overview

Neoxymirus

*Neoxymirus* Danilevsky, 2014 is a monotypic genus of Lepturinae (tribe Lepturini) from Central Asia, harbouring a single described species yet recorded with three representatives in the European fauna. Adults are diurnal and conspicuous visitors of flowers — particularly Apiaceae and Rosaceae — in coniferous forests and their margins between 500 and 2 000 m altitude. The elongate, tapered body and finely faceted eyes distinguish it from superficially similar genera in the same tribe.
