*Pachyta* Dejean, 1821 is a small genus of robust, vividly coloured longhorn beetles belonging to the tribe Lepturini (subfamily Lepturinae), with four species in the Palaearctic region and two occurring in Europe. Adults are characteristically diurnal and anthophilous, frequenting flowers of Apiaceae and Rosaceae along forest edges and clearings, particularly in mountain and boreal conifer forests between 300 and 2000 m elevation. The best-known species, *P. quadrimaculata*, displays striking yellow elytra bearing four black spots in the female, while males tend towards reddish-brown — a sexual dimorphism that has led to considerable confusion in earlier literature.
