Overview

Paracorymbia

*Paracorymbia* Miroshnikov, 1998 comprises small to medium longhorn beetles of 10–22 mm, recognised by their distinctly tapered, elongate body and variable colouration ranging from reddish-brown to dark. Adults are conspicuous flower visitors, frequently encountered on umbellifers and rosaceous blooms along forest margins and woodland rides from June to August. The genus is distributed across the western and central Palaearctic, with eight species described in the region and three occurring in Europe. Larvae develop in decaying wood of both deciduous and coniferous trees, with a development period extending over two to four years.
