Overview
Pelossus
*Pelossus* Pascoe, 1888 is a small, monotypic genus of longhorn beetles in subfamily Cerambycinae, associated with oak (*Quercus*) in Japan. Adults are compact, ranging from 8 to 15 mm, and display variable coloration that may function in mimicry. Larvae develop subcortically before entering woody tissue, with development spanning one to three years. Adults are diurnal to crepuscular, active from May through August, and are attracted to fresh dead wood and UV light.
