Trichoferus

*Trichoferus* Wollaston, 1854 — the "Night Longhorns" — is a medium-sized cerambycid genus of approximately 20 West Palaearctic species, with three representatives in Europe. Adults are nocturnal and strongly attracted to artificial light, a trait useful for detection and monitoring. Larvae develop in dead or dying wood of broadleaved trees and shrubs, feeding subcortically and into the wood itself, tolerating dry conditions and capable of completing development in structural or processed timber. The invasive *T. campestris*, originating in the eastern Mediterranean, has established in several European countries and is regulated as an EPPO A2 pest; adults emerge from infested furniture, wood…
