Xenopachys

*Xenopachys* Blanchard, 1845 is a monotypic genus of the tribe Cerambycini within the subfamily Cerambycinae, known from North Africa and marginally reaching the western Palaearctic. Adults are medium-sized beetles of 18–35 mm, displaying variable coloration and considerable pattern diversity. The single species develops in dead or dying oaks and chestnuts, with larvae progressing from subcortical galleries into the wood. Adults are attracted to fresh dead wood and UV light, and are active from May to August.
