Overview
Drumontiana
*Drumontiana* [auct., verify] is a robust, medium-to-large prionid beetle of subtropical East Asia, ranging across southern China and northern Vietnam at elevations between 500 and 2 000 metres. Adults are wholly nocturnal and are most readily encountered at ultraviolet light traps between June and September. The larvae develop deep within the heartwood of dead or dying broadleaf trees, with a larval period extending from two to five years. The genus was described by Danilevsky in 2001 and belongs to the tribe Anacolini within the subfamily Prioninae.
