Overview

Euracmaeops

*Euracmaeops* Danilevsky, 2014 is a small genus of flower longhorns inhabiting boreal and montane conifer forests across northern Europe and Siberia. Adults are diurnal, strong fliers readily encountered on flowers — particularly Apiaceae and Rosaceae — at forest margins and clearings from May to August. Larvae develop over two to four years in decaying wood of dead or dying conifers, principally *Picea* and *Abies*. The genus ranges from sea level to approximately 1,500 m altitude, following the distribution of boreal conifer forest.
