Overview

Hybometopia

*Hybometopia* Ganglbauer, 1888 is a small, monotypic cerambycid genus endemic to Turkey, where adults occur on dead and dying oaks (*Quercus*) between 200 and 1,200 metres elevation. Body length ranges from 5 to 10 mm, with an elongate-cylindrical form and variable, often patterned coloration. Adults are strong fliers, active from May through August, and are most reliably encountered at freshly dead wood or attracted to UV light. The larvae develop subcortically before entering the wood, with a development period spanning one to three years.
