Overview
Lucasianus
*Lucasianus* is a small North African genus of longhorn beetles found in Algeria and Tunisia, associated with oak woodlands from sea level to around 600 metres. Adults are medium-sized, typically 5–10 mm, and exhibit variable coloration that may serve cryptic functions. Larvae develop beneath the bark and into the wood of dead or dying *Quercus*, with development spanning one to three years depending on conditions. Adults are active between May and August and are attracted to fresh dead wood and UV light.
