Overview
Prosopocera
*Prosopocera* Blanchard, 1845 is a robust, densely pubescent longhorn beetle of the subfamily Lamiinae, reaching 12–22 mm in length. Its cryptic, variable coloration provides effective camouflage against bark and woody stems. The genus is closely associated with *Coffea* and *Ficus*, and larvae develop subcortically before boring into sapwood, completing their development over one to three years. Adults are active chiefly between May and August, at elevations ranging from sea level to 1500 m.
