Overview
Psapharochrus
*Psapharochrus* Thomson, 1864 is a small genus of robust, densely pubescent longhorn beetles belonging to the subfamily Lamiinae. Measuring 8–18 mm, adults display variable, often cryptic coloration that blends effectively with bark surfaces of their host trees. The genus is primarily Neotropical in distribution, with occasional interceptions recorded in the Palaearctic region associated with timber movement. Larvae develop in dead or dying wood of *Quercus* and *Fagus*, boring first subcortically before entering the sapwood.
